The first time I ever saw this movie was in the theater when it was new (1998) and my first-ever boyfriend had just dumped me. Even though I was thinking about him and my broken heart the entire time, it still made me laugh.
I got a used copy from Half-Price Books awhile back, and watched it again last night. I still love it, and I have always felt indebted to this movie for that little bit of relief that it brought me when I was so, so sad. Is that silly?
I never wanted Preston to end up with Amanda. I think he and The Angel had much better chemistry.
